About DoW4 Tools
Last updated
DoW4 Tools is an unofficial fan-made site of tools and guides for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, the real-time strategy game developed by KING Art Games and published by Deep Silver. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Games Workshop, KING Art Games or Deep Silver. Warhammer 40,000, Dawn of War and all associated names are trademarks of Games Workshop Limited; we use them only to say which game the site is about. We sell nothing.
The goal: quick, accurate answers to the questions players actually ask, starting with when the game unlocks, which faction to play and which edition to buy, and after launch, unit data, build orders and counters checked against real matches.
Where the information comes from
We sort every fact by how sure we can be of it:
- Official: the official Dawn of War IV website, the Steam store page and the developer's announcements there, Deep Silver's news posts and the official social accounts. These we publish directly, in our own words.
- Confirmed by players: after launch, a detail from play goes on the site when two different players' videos or screenshots agree. We note when we checked it.
- Player reports, not yet verified: details only one source shows. They are labeled that way and never used in a tool.
Leaks and rumors are never published. When official posts disagree with each other, we show both and say so.
Every tool and guide shows when it was last updated and which game version it matches, and lists its sources at the end. Before launch, everything here follows the developer's own descriptions; numbers such as unit costs are added only once they can be checked in the game.
The pictures
The game pictures are official Dawn of War IV screenshots from the Steam store page. We cropped off the frame and the “work in progress” banner, removed the game logo with an AI tool and sharpened them, without adding anything to the scene. Each picture is credited where it appears and carries our web address in a corner. We take any picture down at once if the owners ask.
