Platforms
Dawn of War 4 on PS5, Xbox, Console and Mac
Dawn of War IV is a PC game: Deep Silver says it releases on Steam for Windows, and no PS5, Xbox, Mac or Linux version has been announced. Here is what is confirmed, what is not, and what that means for controllers and the Steam Deck.
Last updated Game version: Pre-launch (official info, October 2026)
Short answer: only PC. Deep Silver's FAQ says Dawn of War IV will be released on Steam for PC (Windows). It launches there on December 3, 2026, and Commander Edition owners can play from November 30, 2026. Everything else in the table below is simply not announced: not ruled out, but not promised either.

Will Dawn of War 4 come to PS5 or Xbox later?
Nobody official has said so. Every post from KING Art and Deep Silver talks about Steam and PC, and the game is built around mouse-and-keyboard real-time strategy: base building, squad control and quick ability use across large maps. A console version would be a new announcement, and we will update this page the day there is one. Until then, a console pre-order or store listing you see somewhere is not official.
Controllers and the Steam Deck
The Steam store page lists no controller support for Dawn of War IV (checked October 22, 2026), so plan on mouse and keyboard. The store page also shows no Steam Deck compatibility rating yet. If you want to play on a handheld, wait for that rating and for players' reports after launch rather than buying on hope.
What the PC version includes
Steam lists Single-player, Online PvP, Online Co-op, Family Sharing for Dawn of War IV, and the game needs a 64-bit processor and operating system. Full PC requirements have not been published yet; our Dawn of War 4 system requirements page tracks them and shows how to check your own PC. Both the Standard and Commander Editions are Steam editions; see Commander vs Standard Edition for what each includes, and the Dawn of War 4 release countdown for the days left.
